MSI symbology, also known as Modified Plessey, was designed upon Plessey Code. MSI barcode is mainly used in inventory business.
MSI encodes numeric-only data. Start character is mapped to left bracket ('[') and stop character is mapped to right bracket (']').
MSI bar code requires a modulo 10 check digit.If you download Barcodesoft MSI barcode demo program and install on your computer, you can use our Encoder to calculate checksum. Meanwhile, you can also find source code in VBA and C language of MSI barcode checksum calculation.
There are 14 MSI barcode fonts contained in the package as listed below, marked by different trailing indicators. Barcodesoft MSI fonts vary in aspect ratios. Those fonts with Hr in name have human readable text underneath MSI Plessey barcode.
